National Palace
The National Palace is more than a building; it is a living symbol of the political and cultural history of El Salvador, a witness of the great events that have forged the nation. Its recent restoration and opening to the public consolidate it as a fundamental pillar of the renovated Historic Center.

National Palace: Witness to History and Symbol of Republican Power
Inaugurated in 1911, the National Palace is a National Monument located in the Historic Center of San Salvador, in front of the Gerardo Barrios Square. It was the seat of the three branches of government and today serves as a museum and cultural space. It stands out for its 101 rooms and its four emblematic halls: Red, Pink, Yellow and Blue.

Events
It was the epicenter of Salvadoran political power for much of the twentieth century. In its halls transcendental decisions were made for the history of the country, and today it is the scene of cultural and commemorative events, such as exhibitions on independence, constitutional history and diplomatic meetings.
